MEET THE CONFERENCE SPEAKERS

MARIUS JURGILAS
CEO of Axiology
Marius Jurgilas, CEO of Axiology, is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience in central banking, financial regulation and FinTech policy. He has held senior roles at the Bank of Lithuania, Norges Bank, the Bank of England, and Finansinspektionen (Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority), shaping digital innovation and regulatory frameworks across Europe. ​ Marius has played a pivotal role in advancing Lithuania as a top 10 global FinTech destination and led the establishment of the EU’s designated EUR settlement rails for fintech. In addition to his industry experience, he has been an academic researcher and lecturer in economics and finance, combining rigorous analysis with practical leadership to turn ambitious visions into operational reality.
JENS HENRIKSSON
President and CEO of Swedbank
Jens Henriksson was appointed President and CEO of Swedbank in October 2019. He was previously the President and CEO of Folksam, Sweden’s largest insurance company, Senior Vice President with NASDAQ OMX and the President and the CEO of the Swedish Stock Exchange, NASDAQ OMX Stockholm. Over the years Jens has held various senior positions within financial markets, private companies, public finances and international economic affairs and international agencies. He has also been a long-time member of the EU Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) and participated in WP3 in OECD, discussing economic policy with G7. He has been elected a lifelong member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and awarded Chevalier of the National Order of Merit by the President of the French Republic. In 2022 he was appointed honorary doctor at Lund University School of Economics and Management.
KRISTUPAS VAITIEKŪNAS
Minister of Finance of Lithuania
Kristupas Vaitiekūnas is the Minister of Finance of Lithuania. In January-September 2025, he served as Vice-Minister of Finance, overseeing tax policy, financial market policy, financial policy, European Union and international affairs. Based on the proposals submitted by K. Vaitiekūnas, the Seimas adopted the necessary tax changes in order to better finance defence and other priority areas in Lithuania. In recent years, K. Vaitiekūnas has worked as a Tax Project Manager at Rödl & Partner UAB, before that – as a Senior Transfer Pricing Consultant and Analyst, and Chief Project Management Specialist at the National Cancer Institute, etc. K. Vaitiekūnas graduated from Vilnius University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, where he also obtained a Master's degree in International Finance.
PATRICK NYLUND
Senior Banker
Patrick Nylund is a Senior Banker within the Industry and Real Estate team, as well as Lead for defence-related lending at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB). He has more than 20 years of corporate banking experience, from NIB as well as French and British banks. He works with financing to defence, real estate, large family office and various industrial companies. He holds a Master of Science degree from Stockholm School of Economics
DEIMANTĖ ŽEMGULYTĖ
Senior Investment Advisor at Invest Lithuania
Deimantė Žemgulytė is a Senior Investment Advisor at Invest Lithuania, where she advises global technology and fintech companies on EU market entry, site selection, and scaling operations in Lithuania. Working within the technology team, she connects investors with key stakeholders, incentive programmes, and ecosystem partners to support sustainable expansion across Europe. Before joining Invest Lithuania, Deimantė gained experience across the private and civil society sectors. She worked in anti-money-laundering compliance within the financial services industry and later led governance, transparency, and anti-corruption initiatives at Transparency International Lithuania, contributing to national policy discussions. Deimantė holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vilnius University and has pursued advanced studies in Public Policy at the University of Bath.
ALEX GIBB
Investor
Alex Gibb has been involved in the Fintech ecosystem through various angles for 15 years – investing, founding and scaling fintech start-ups. He has held senior management positions in leading Baltic banks as well as working at supra-national level to support fintech development. Alex enjoys the positive social and environmental impact that fintech promises.
LARS WAHLUND
Ambassador of Sweden to Lithuania
Lars Wahlund is the Swedish Ambassador to Lithuania since 2023. He has previously served as Ambassador in Dublin, Ankara and Skopje and has also served at the embassies in Maputo and Bonn. Ambassador Wahlund has a law degree from University of Uppsala, Sweden, and University of Minnesota, USA.
EIVILĖ ČIPKUTĖ
President of the Lithuanian Banking Association
Economist dr. Eivilė Čipkutė was appointed President of the Lithuanian Banking Association in 2020. Previously E. Čipkutė worked as a senior policy advisor at the European Investment Fund office in Brussels, Belgium. She also served as senior advisor to the World Bank's Office of the Executive Director of the Nordic and Baltic Countries at World Bank's headquarters in Washington, D.C., USA. Before continuing her career in international institutions, E. Čipkutė worked at the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance, where she headed the Financial Markets Policy Department, was the board member and chairperson of several state-owned companies. Moreover, E. Čipkutė represented Lithuania in the Committees of the EU Council and the European Commission, dedicated to Finance and Banking. E. Čipkutė has obtained master's degree in international business at Georgetown University in the USA and has defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of social sciences and economics at Vilnius University.

Country Manager for Lithuania and Latvia at Ebury
Marius Bausys is the Country Manager for Lithuania and Latvia at Ebury, a leading fintech providing global foreign exchange solutions for businesses. Marius was the sole founder of ArcaPay, a cross-border payments company successfully acquired by the Banco Santander-backed Ebury. Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Marius spent six years at Lloyds Bank in the City of London and New York, specialising in currency risk management for the largest corporations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
GRETA RANONYTĖ
CEO of the Lithuanian Fintech Association
Greta Ranonytė is the CEO of the Lithuanian Fintech Association, the largest licensed fintech network in the Baltics, representing nearly 100 companies. She works closely with industry and public sector stakeholders to ensure the qualitative growth of Lithuania’s fintech ecosystem, focusing on governance, compliance, risk management, AML/CTF, and regulatory matters. Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, where she contributed to the development of the Lithuanian Fintech Guidelines 2023–2028.
TADAS GUDAITIS
Member of the Board of the National Development Bank ILTE and Head of the Business Development Division
Tadas Gudaitis is a Member of the Board of the National Development Bank ILTE and Head of the Business Development Division. He has many years of experience in the financial sector. From 2006 until the end of 2025, he worked within the Swedbank Group. For the past 10 years, he headed Swedbank Investicijų valdymas, UAB, where he was responsible for pension fund operations and investment management. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Gudaitis has also been actively involved in various business associations. Tadas holds a PhD in Economics from Vilnius University and has completed the Professional Board Member Programme at the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance.
AUDRIUS MATIKIŪNAS
Chief Operating Officer at INVL Asset Management
Audrius Matikiūnas is the Chief Operating Officer at INVL Asset Management, where he supports the firm’s growth through business development and the scaling of investment capabilities across the Invalda INVL group. He is also a Board Member at Robinhood Europe. Audrius has broad investment management experience across both liquid and illiquid assets, and a strong track record in governance through board and committee work. Earlier in his career, he held roles at SEB Bank. Audrius holds a Master’s degree in Law.

David Teare is a senior banker with 40 years of experience in Northern Europe, specializing in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Currently focused on security and defence–related activities.
GEDIMINAS NORKŪNAS
Head of Securities Origination Unit at Luminor
20+ years in financial markets, focused on debt origination from issuer and arranger perspectives across Baltic and European markets. Eurobond structuring and syndication expertise, leveraging issuer-side experience in project finance and risk hedging for strategic pricing, investor relations, covenant design, documentation, and regulatory execution (MiFID/prospectus) through successful market placement. Extensive bond origination experience from both issuer and arranger perspectives; successfully led 20+ Eurobond issuances for Lithuanian and Baltic corporates (combined EUR 28 billion+ in issuance volume).
GEDIMINAS VARNAS
President of Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange
Gediminas Varnas is the President of Nasdaq Vilnius, bringing more than 20 years of experience in capital markets, regulation, and corporate governance across the Baltic states. In his role, he focuses on strengthening the development of Lithuania’s securities market. Gediminas is an active advocate of financial literacy, works closely with the academic community, and regularly participates in public discussions on capital markets, investing, and economic development.

Vilius Bernatonis is the Managing Partner at TEGOS. He has more than 20 years of practice providing legal services in the areas of banking and finance, energy, international judicial dispute, corporate and commercial law. Vilius works with major local and international banks and provides consultations to companies of strategic importance on financial matters. He regularly participates in conferences as a speaker or moderator on topics of finance, the economy and banking.
